BEARING OIL COOLER
The purpose of the bearing cooler is to remove the heat generated in the lubricating oil by the operation of the machine. Typically, water is used as the cooling fluid for a Bearing Cooler. Thermal design of bearing oil cooler is generally based on free convection on oil side, as oil velocities are often difficult to quantify accurately. Bearing coolers are varied in type and can take on many forms. They are seldom “standard designs” so manufacturing replacement coolers requires knowledge, experience, and flexibility. BHE holds profound understanding of the heat transfer mechanisms insuring adequate sizing and efficient cooling. It will fit and it will cool.
